Engineering Learnership Job Description:
The successful candidates will have the opportunity to enroll in an external Unemployed (18.2 B1) Three-year Learnership programme leading to the selected qualification as a qualified Artisan.
This opportunity will be made available to them if they meet all of the requirements for the position.

- Learnership Measurement Control & Instrumentation Mechanician x 2
- Learnership Millwright x 4
- Learnership Auto Electrician x 1
You will have the opportunity to develop skills through classroom instruction as well as on-the-job training and core training at the Mogalakwena Mine as part of our three-year Artisan Learnership Program, which is an enrichment program for the community.
This Program will make it possible for you to reach your full potential and will also provide you with a customized plan to give you a future in which you can make a difference.
As you progress through the Artisan learnership program, we will assist you in gaining a better understanding of your existing capabilities and expanding your repertoire of artisanal skills.
Instructional Programs for Artisan Students Who Wish to Learn:
Institutional training in the first year at ESTC, which stands for the Engineering Skills Training Centre.
The second year consists of on-the-job and fundamental training at the Mogalakwena Mine.
Third year: Successfully complete the trade exam
Qualifications:
Requirements for Engineering Learnership Participation:
Matric with Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy), Physical Science, and English (all with a minimum 40% pass), or N2 or higher with all subjects as per the specific Discipline Requirements, or NCV Level – 4 in an appropriate trade with all subjects passed with a minimum 40% pass.
Trade Test Requirements
A minimum of N2 Subjects or a certificate with subjects that are relevant to the trade in question and that are specified.
Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Relevant Trade Theory, Industrial Electronics, or Engineering Drawings, or Plating Structural Drawings are all examples of relevant trade theories.
NCV Level 4 in the relevant trade, with a passing grade of at least 40 percent across the board for each subject.

Applications that do not include certified copies of the relevant qualification(s) and evidence of residence will not be taken into consideration.
Learnership conditions are as follows: additional information
You need to be ready to work in ‘dusty areas’ on the surface and in open pits.
Perform duties in accordance with the work schedule established for the area, which may involve working shifts.
Citizenship of South Africa is required.
It is required that you do well on the appropriate psychometric test.
Must either already possess a medical certificate of fitness or be able to produce one upon request.
It is required that you have strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Possessing a driver’s license that is current and valid in South Africa will be beneficial.
