Description of the Baking Learnership
Are you a student who is passionate about baking, highly driven, and eager about entering the working world? If so, we want to talk to you!
RCL FOODS is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications from motivated and eager students for its Baking Learnership Program.
We are looking for sixteen learners who will have their home base in the Pretoria West area of Gauteng.
The duration of the learnership program will range from twelve to eighteen months, and it will include a mentoring and coaching program that will focus on the baking process.
Learners who complete the program successfully will be awarded a formal qualification that has been approved by SAQA.
This learnership has been granted accreditation by SETA.
Throughout the course of the qualification, learners will be given the opportunity to participate in practical work that is needed by RCL FOODS and the SETA.
Through the efforts of the Supreme Siyabhaka Academy, our primary areas of focus are as follows:
To foster and cultivate the abilities of the individual students, therefore producing young professionals who are employable, which is something that is missing in the baking business as a whole.
To raise consumers’ knowledge of our baking brands as names synonymous with quality and reliability, therefore identifying ourselves with “best-in-class” capabilities, service, and products.
To take the lead in the industry by elevating the overall quality of in-store and professional bakery products to a higher level, shifting consumer attitudes, and improving our relationships with existing and potential customers.
Minimum Requirements
The completion of at least 12 years of schooling, including hospitality studies and mathematics (Lit), is required.
A working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office is a distinct benefit.
Demonstrates a strong desire to attain performance goals
Is eager to acquire new knowledge and experience
Creative
Able to think laterally, and able to approach problems in a problem-solving manner
