Description of the Job

Would you describe yourself as a student who is full of enthusiasm and motivation, who has a passion for baking, and who is prepared to take on the world of work?

RCL FOODS is pleased to extend an invitation to students who are excited and dynamic to submit an application to participate in the Baking Learnership Program.
There are fifteen students who will be based in Durban, and we are looking for them.

A mentorship and coaching program that will explain the baking process will be included in the learnership program, which will last for a period of one year and include a mentorship component.

This learnership is accredited by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA), and those who are successful will be awarded a formal qualification that is endorsed by SAQA.
In order to fulfill the requirements of RCL FOODS and the SETA throughout the duration of the qualification, learners will be required to participate in practical work.

By means of the Supreme Siyabhaka Academy, we have three primary areas of purpose including the following:

for the purpose of cultivating and developing the skills of the individual learners, with the goal of producing young professionals who are employable and which are in short supply in the baking industry as a whole

By associating our baking brands with ‘best-in-class’ abilities, service, and product, we hope to increase awareness of our brands as being synonymous with excellence and consistency.

Our goal is to become the industry leader by enhancing the quality of our in-store and professional bakery products across the board, thereby altering the perceptions of our customers and strengthening our relationships with them.

Certain Minimum Prerequisites

A qualification from National Senior Certificate or Matric that includes hospitality studies and mathematics (Lit) is required.
The ability to use Microsoft Office and computers is advantageous.
Demonstrates a strong desire to achieve its goals
Has a willingness to learn and develop
Thinking that is creative and lateral, as well as having an approach to problem-solving
