Job Description
The job will give the effective candidate openness to the full bookkeeping capability so the ideal candidate would be somebody whose energy is finance, who has concentrated on bookkeeping in school, has found themselves in a finance role (debtors, creditors or cashbook) and wishes to extend their abilities set further.
Position Outline
Recording financial transactions that occur in the business through the handling of journals (month end, redistributions, charge outs, standard, general and sundry invoices ), month end reconciliations analysis of GL records, bank and VAT reconciliations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Assist Accountant with Bank Reconciliations everyday.
•High degree of accuracy in capturing to the General Ledger Transactions .
•Assist Accountant with Month to month Balance sheet accounts reconciliations – settled and handed to the accountant when actuals are expected.
• Guarantee that all General Ledger reconciling items cleared before month end.
• Day to day submission of cash flow.
• Debtors – Issue month to month statements, verifying and making new accounts, commission payments.
• Creditors – Assist accountant with creditors and commission recons and payments.
• Help all branches with important queries.
Qualifications and Experience:
• 1+ years significant general Bookkeeping experience.
• 1+ years general debtors or creditors insight
• Bookkeeping or equivalent qualification
• Code 8 driver’s permit
• Solid Bookkeeping abilities
• MS Office with intermediate level Excel abilities as minimum.
