Bursary Application for the 2023

The Bursary opportunity from Sappi, for the year 2023 is now open for Applications.Grade 12 students and undergraduate students are invited to apply for to apply for the fields listed below:

  • “Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Science – Mechanical Engineering
  • Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Science – Electrical Engineering
  • Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Science – Chemical Engineering
  • Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Science – Industrial Engineering
  • Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Science – Civil Engineering
  • Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Science – Mechatronics
  • Bachelor of Science – Forestry and Wood Sciences”

The bursary will assist successful applicants with the following:

  • Tuition fee
  • Registration fee
  • Book allowance
  • Residence fee and living allowances.

“The total value of the bursary depends on the household income of the bursar.

South African citizens studying or intending to study full time at South African accredited universities.

The bursary is for school leavers and current university students aged between 17 and 25 years.”

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Grade 12 results with the following minimum marks :
    • Mathematics 70% (no Maths Literacy)
    • Physical Science 70%
    • English 60%.
  • Undergraduates will use academic record with an average of 70%.

Attach the following to apply:

  • A certified copy of Grade 12 certificate/results or alternative academic qualifications
  • Certified proof of registration at a university
  • Certified copy of recent academic record.
  • Updated curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Certified copy of ID
  • “Proof of income or an affidavit stating your total household income.”
