The Purpose of the Job Description
The goal is to provide excellent customer service by processing transactions on the point-of-sale system in a timely, accurate, and active manner.
DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Provide excellent service to customers by processing their orders in accordance with standard operating procedures
2. Don’t slow down the pace of service
3. Perform accurate processing of various types of payments in accordance with standard operating procedures
4. Drive sales by informing customers about the current promotions that are available.
5. Raise the average number of tickets sold through the use of upselling or suggestive selling strategies
As per standard operating procedure, ensure that the counter service areas are kept clean and hygienic at all times.
7. Keep the FOH stock in accordance with the standard operating procedure
WHAT IS REQUIRED:
1. It is preferred that you have a National Senior Certificate.
2. A Senior Certificate (which is imperative)
3. Literacy abilities that are fully developed
4. Ability to perform well in numerical tasks
5. One year of experience working as a cashier in a retail establishment (preferably in a quick-service restaurant environment)
