Job Description
The following position is currently available at TWK Agri: Cashier in the Trade Division of Pongola, KwaZulu-Natal
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare products for shipment by bagging, boxing, wrapping, and preparing merchandise.
- Record and compute transactions
- Ensure that the amounts in cash drawers are accurate and that there is sufficient change at the outset of each shift by counting the money.
- Arrange, tally, and bundle coins and notes
- Calculators, cash registers, or optical scanners are employed to establish or identify the prices of products and to compile bills.
- Greeting clients upon their arrival at establishments
- Provide consumers with receipts, refunds, credits, or changes.
- Maintain regular balance statements that reflect the quantities and figures of transactions.
- Receive payment via currency or credit card.
- Ensure that the checkout areas are kept tidy and organized.
- Mark prices on shelves and items and stock them.
- Conduct stock takes
Skills and Qualifications
- Matriculation or Grade 12
- Skilled with computers
- Previous experience as a cashier Computer-literate
- Ability to work with money
- Customer service expertise
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities
