Position Objective
Accountable for the sanitation and upkeep of the structure, apparatus, fittings, and furnishings. Conducts regular cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors; dusting surfaces; washing walls, doors, and windows; and disposing of trash.
Provides assistance to service staff when required.
Crucial Functions And Fundamental Responsibilities
1. Takes responsibility for the efficient execution of designated cleaning tasks.
a. Cleans floors with a vacuum, broom, and mop.
b. Cleans and dusts walls, tables, doors, light fixtures, vending machines, and windows.
c. Sanitizes and disinfects toilets, urinals, showers, tiled floors, and additional fixtures.
d. Regularly replenishes soap, toilet paper, and towel dispensers.
e. Empties waste receptacles as required.
f. Collects litter as required, both indoors and outdoors.
Maintains garbage containers and guarantees their cleanliness.
2. Takes responsibility for creating and sustaining excellent communication, coordination, and collaborative relationships with company people, management, and service providers.
a. Aids company staff and service providers as required.
b. Updates management on regional activities, notable issues, and sanitation concerns.
3. Takes responsibility for upholding courteous and professional relationships with clients and the public.
4. Accepts accountability for associated tasks as necessary or designated.
a. Executes various cleaning duties and specific tasks as designated.
b. Ensures the security of the facility.
Performance Metrics
- The building’s facilities and equipment are clean, orderly, and well-maintained.
- Cleaning functions are executed safely and promptly in compliance with approved standards, schedules, and procedures.
Cleaning requirements and issues are swiftly recognized and addressed or communicated. - Cleaning functions are effectively synchronized with company operations. Support is offered to other personnel as required.
- Management is adequately apprised of regional activity and any substantial issues.
- There are effective and respectful interactions with company visitors, vendors, and clients.
Education/Certificate
None. Matriculation preferable.
Essential Knowledge
Familiarity with fundamental cleaning methods and protocols.
Comprehension of pertinent safety and OSHA regulations.
Experience Required
Prior cleaning or janitorial experience is preferred.
Skills/Abilities
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Capable of adhering to instructions and performing effectively autonomously.
- Willingness to work weekends and evenings.
- Capable of utilizing fundamental cleaning implements, such as vacuums, mops, brooms, etc.
