Dis-Chem seeks a Qualified Clinic Sister to join their team in Preller.
The primary objective of the role is to oversee and administer a profitable Primary Health Care Clinic located within a pharmacy, adhering to the practice scope of a registered nursing practitioner.
Essential Criteria:
Crucial:
- Grade 12 – Matriculation Tertiary qualification in General Nursing
- Diploma or Degree in Midwifery
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
- Nursing practitioners must have BHF registration.
- 2-3 years of experience in a Primary Health Care Clinic Sibling
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Beneficial:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Primary Health Care Sister, proficient in Patient Record System, CKS, and Allegra.
Job Description:
- Execute Clinic Sister responsibilities in accordance with industry rules and best practices.
- Oversee the average “feet-per-hour” metric and establish clinic goals to improve patient outcomes.
- Guarantee the availability of all clinic services, maintain precise records of patient information, and provide timely follow-up communication.
- Verify that the Clinic is open and functioning in accordance with the specified operational hours.
- Process claims with precision and promptness in accordance with industry standards.
- Verify that all inventory and equipment in the clinic are operational in accordance with industry standards.
- Verify that inventory levels in the clinic meet business requirements.
- Establish and sustain robust connections with the following stakeholders: Patients, Store and Dispensary Manager, Colleagues, Medical Aids, Suppliers/Reps, major community role players, and other Healthcare entities.
Competencies:
Fundamental:
- Expertise in community health nursing, primary health care, occupational health nursing, family planning, cytology, intrauterine devices (IUD), pharmacology, immunization programs/cold chain management, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), emergency care, HIV/AIDS pre- and post-counseling, breastfeeding, pathology, and wound care.
- Quarterly Continuing Professional Development training; in-service training with Dis-Chem
- Proficient in English (both written and spoken)
- Comprehend the financial consequences of achieving or failing to achieve established monthly objectives.
- Robust analytical abilities concerning monthly clinic statistics and commissions
- Emotional intelligence; entrepreneurial acumen; reliable and honest
- Capability to oversee both team and individual tasks; demonstrate self-direction and intrinsic motivation
- Temporal organization
