Conditions to meet:
With a minimum of two years of driving experience and a grade ten or equivalent qualification.
A drivers’ licence with a valid code 10 (C1)/ (EB) and a valid PDP are required.
Having the ability to work independently as well as the ability to work under pressure as part of a team.
Ability to read and write, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills, are required.
Be ready to work shifts and on holidays that are observed by the public.
Must also be able to drive and operate the tractor.
Duties include:
Responsible for carrying out all authorized transportation trips to and from a variety of destinations, including those involving patients, staff, documents, and other requirements.
Before getting behind the wheel of a vehicle, it is imperative that you always check the condition of the vehicle as well as the levels of oil, fuel, water, and tires.
Please notify the Supervisor or Manager as soon as possible about any minor or major accident defects that may be present on vehicles.
Always ensure that you are in compliance with the procedures and prescripts of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Maintain a professional demeanor when responding to inquiries, and provide direction and advice when it is required. In all circumstances, ensure that government vehicles and accessories are handled, stored, and controlled in the appropriate manner.
A valid driver’s license and a personal identification document (PDP) should always be in your possession.
Always make sure that the state vehicles are clean and organized.
A solid understanding of government fleets and a familiarity with regulations governing transportation.

Prospective applicants are required to use the new Z83 form, which will be in effect beginning January 1, 2021, and it must be filled out in its entirety.
Curriculum vitae that includes a comprehensive description of the responsibilities, as well as the names of two referees who are either current or former supervisors.
