Conditions to meet:

With a current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC 2024), a qualification that enables registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nursing Assistant would be required.

With a strong interest in working with patients.
Having the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, as well as having strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A familiarity with the National Core Standards, the Public Service Regulations, the Batho-Pele Principles, the SANC Regulations, and the Patients’ Rights Charter.

Duties include:

Uphold the patient’s right to privacy and confidentiality while also providing the highest possible level of care Involve yourself in the process of elimination.
It is necessary to provide basic nursing care.
Vital signs should be measured, interpreted, and recorded.
Offering assistance with activities of daily living (including maintaining hygiene, providing nutrition, and assisting with mobility and the elimination process), among other things.

In the presence of a registered nurse, the individual is responsible for providing basic clinical care, which includes the measurement, interpretation, and recording of vital signs, as well as the administration of oral medication and injections.
In the event that it is necessary, accompany patients to clinical investigations.
Patients will benefit from learning about health and participating in other group activities. Consider taking part in activities aimed at preventing and controlling infections.

Hospital protocols require that incidents involving patients be reported and recorded.
Conduct yourself in a professional manner in accordance with the requirements of the Public Service Code of Conduct and the SANC.
Participate in required in-service training sessions.
When it is necessary, provide relief in other wards.
A willingness to work both day and night shifts is required.

Take note:

The submission of copies of qualifications and other pertinent documents is not required for applications; however, applicants are required to fill out a new Z83 form, which can be obtained from any Public Service Department or on the website www.dpsa.gov.za/documents.

This form must be accompanied by a comprehensive curriculum vitae that emphasizes or states the requirements that have been mentioned above.
On or before the day of the interviews, only those candidates who have been shortlisted will be required to submit documents that have been independently certified.
The post reference number is required to be included on the applications submitted by applicants. Failure to submit the necessary documents will result in the application being disregarded and not taken into consideration.

Verification of the qualifications of candidates who have been recommended for appointment will take place.
The evaluation certificate issued by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA) must be presented to the Department by individuals who are in possession of a foreign qualification.
We will not take into consideration any applications that are received after the closing date and time.
