Compensation of R 183 279 per year (Salary level 4) on an annual basis

Purpose of the Job

Individuals who are dynamic and have the ability to outline and spray all road marks on proclaimed roads are offered opportunities by the Department of Infrastructure, which is part of the Western Cape Government.

Minimum Prerequisites

Certification at the tenth grade or its equivalent;
A minimum of three years of experience in the relevant field;
It is necessary to possess a valid code EC driving license in addition to a professional driving permit (PDP2).

Acquiring experience in the following,

Performing tasks such as operating, handling, and maintaining the line marking machine as well as other vehicles.
Road construction, maintenance, and repair;
A willingness to work away from headquarters on a regular basis;
And overall road maintenance and repair.
The practice of sharing caravans as a means of lodging while sleeping outside.

Crucial Aspects of Performance

Outline of indistinct road markings that are either new or faded;
Lines are sprayed with the assistance of a road marking machine and other aids;
Conduct a pre-inspection of the routes and a post-survey of the lengths that have been sprayed in order to ensure quality and cost control;
Undertake the responsibility of ensuring that work areas and construction machines are protected in accordance with the Health and Safety Act.
Supervise subordinates in the process of hand painting road marks and performing ad hoc road maintenance activities.

Safety standards and road safety;
Having experience with all of the various road marking standards to choose from;
Standards with regard to the various kinds of road mark points, glass beads, and the application of these things;

The ability to be self-motivated;
The ability to work independently without constant supervision;
And the ability to maintain high concentration for extended periods of time.
