NOTE:
In order for your application to be considered, it must be presented on a newly signed Z83 form, which can be obtained from any public service department, and it must also be accompanied by a recent detailed curriculum vitae.
Candidates who have been shortlisted will be required to submit certified copies of their qualifications, senior certificate, identity document, and driver’s license either on the day of the interview or at the very latest the day before.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to have the South African Qualification Authority evaluate any international credentials they may hold (SAQA).

Entry level requirements for SMS posts:
In accordance with the terms of the Directive on Compulsory Capacity Development, Mandatory Training Days, and Minimum Entry Requirements for SMS, which was published on the first of April 2015, the successful completion of the Senior Management Pre-Entry Programme, which was endorsed by the National School of Government, will be a prerequisite for all applicants for SMS posts beginning on the first of April 2020. (NSG).
The NSG offers the training course, which is referred to as the Certificate for entry into SMS.

In order to gain access to the SMS, the successful candidate will be required to provide evidence that they have successfully completed the NSG Public Service Senior Management Leadership Programme Certificate.
In addition, candidates who have been shortlisted for the position of SMS Operator will be required to participate in a technical exercise designed to test relevant technical aspects of the job.
After the interview and the technical exercise, the Selection Panel will recommend candidates to attend a generic managerial competency assessment in accordance with the DPSA Directive on the implementation of competency-based assessments.
This will take place after the candidates have successfully completed both of the aforementioned components.
The individual who is selected to fill this role will be required to submit to a background check in addition to signing an employment contract and a performance agreement before beginning work.
