Purpose of the Job

In order to provide a driving and messaging service that is both effective and efficient within the Cluster as well as other departments of the eThekwini Municipality.

Principal Areas of Responsibility

• The responsibility of collecting, delivering, and loading equipment and correspondence is yours to undertake.

• Offers members of the staff and customers a courier service that transports them to and from a variety of locations and establishments.
• As well as completing the safety checklist, operating the two-way radio, and other tasks, the individual is responsible for filling out trip and mileage forms, checking the oil and water levels, and performing general maintenance on vehicles.
• Makes certain that the vehicle that is used for messaging services is stored in a secure location.
• In addition to this, they are responsible for other tasks, such as washing vehicles and organizing a variety of documents and mail.
• Is responsible for providing relief for other drivers in the Unit when it is required.

Requirements That Are Important

• A Matric that is suitable for the individual.
• The candidate must possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle
• Three months of experience in the relevant field.

Requirements that are Preferred

• Six months of experience that is relevant.
