Conditions to meet:
NQF Level 3 or Grade 11 or an equivalent qualification
Along with three to five years of experience working as a laundry worker or experience that is related to the job in a hospital or factory setting.
Understanding:
Within the confines of a limited range of equipment for laundry industrial machine operators, the working procedure with regard to the working environment for laundry industrial machine operators
Abilities:
Making preparations and arranging, Having a fundamental understanding of basic numeracy, literacy, effective communication, healthy human relations, the capacity to carry out routine tasks, and fundamental interpersonal relationships.
Hold the ability to communicate with various stakeholders.
Both the ability to work in a team and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
It is important to be ready to work shifts and rotate.
Prepare yourself to engage in strenuous physical labor (heavy duty).
Employers are required by law to ensure that their workers are wearing protective clothing.
Duties include:
Before beginning to operate the Tunnel Machine, check that the water level, air pressure, and steam supply are all functioning properly.
Cleaning of tumble dryers and the areas surrounding them, as well as cleaning, loading, and monitoring of the conveyer bar.
Putting in the soil linen load. Keep the loading scale in good condition.
Maintain a watchful eye on the clean linen, retrieve it from the dryers, and transport it to the subsequent working point.
In order to unblock the tunnel washer.
Responsible for all of the resources that have been allotted.
Continuous monitoring of the performance of the pumps, as well as the provision of liquid soap and detergents to the tunnel washer and other equipment.
Work orders must be finished, and any disturbances or malfunctions in the tunnel machine must be identified and reported.
