Internship Programme Opportunities

South African National Parks (SANParks) is the most prominent conservation authority in all of the country’s national parks. It is in charge of protecting 3,751,113 hectares of land across 20 national parks.
Act 57 of 2003, which is known as the National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act, is the original source of its mandate.
Graduates who have completed their Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma (NQF6/NQF7) at a Public Higher Education Institution (HEI) in South Africa and who are interested in being placed in SANParks for a period of one (1) year with a monthly stipend of R5,000.00 are encouraged to submit their applications.
Upon completion of the internship program, SANParks is not required to hire the intern after the program has been completed.

Who is qualified to submit an application?
In order to be eligible for the Internship Placement Programme, you are required to:
Be a graduate who is currently without work and between the ages of 18 and 35.
Applicants must be citizens of South Africa.
Have earned a Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma (National Qualifications Framework 6 or NQF 7) in the aforementioned fields of study from a South African Public Higher Education Institution (HEI) in the relevant discipline or field of study.
Must not have held a job in the past, nor have they participated in any internships or placement programs.
Kindly Take Note
Candidates who are interested in applying for the internship that is located outside of their area of residence are required to demonstrate that they are willing to source their own lodging and transportation, taking into consideration that they will be receiving a stipend.
In the event that you do not provide the information or documents that have been requested, your application will not be taken into consideration.
SANParks will determine the time, date, and location of the assessment and selection interviews, and applicants will be expected to be available for interviewing at those times and locations.
South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) evaluation of foreign qualifications is the responsibility of the applicant.
SAQA is responsible for evaluating foreign qualifications.
Every internship appointment is subject to verification and a pre-screening process before it can be officially scheduled.
San Antonio Parks maintains the right to decline to schedule an appointment.
Any applications submitted manually will not be considered.

Applicants who do not receive a response within fourteen days of the application deadline are required to be considered unsuccessful.

Requirements for Documents
