POST 2 ; Field Service Engineer – YES Programme (Jhb)
Principal Obligations :
Carrier out on-site maintenance, repairs, and/or installations of the company’s products at customer locations.
This job could involve any aspect of product field support, such as networking systems, medical or laboratory devices and equipment, and computer hardware and software.
Assist customers with any operational or preventative maintenance concerns they may have regarding the equipment they use.
Act as the primary point of contact for customers with regard to technical and service-related issues.
Utilizing the established procedures, conduct a diagnosis of the mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
Determined the most cost-effective repair or solution to minimize the amount of downtime experienced by the customer.
Create reports for the purpose of analyzing trends in product failure and problems with service ability.
The bare necessities are as follows:
South African graduates who have achieved a passing grade of at least 60% in all of the modules and credits required for the qualification listed below.
Minimum study level S4, or its equivalent in a technical school, in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or another comparable engineering study program.
A familiarity with mechanical, electrical, vacuum, and laser systems, as well as fundamental networking abilities.
A comprehensive understanding of how to solve problems encountered by customers and maintain a high level of their satisfaction.
Competencies and Accomplishments:
Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office program expertise required; basic networking knowledge is a plus but not required.
Own vehicle and valid driver’s license are preferred but not required for this position.
In a fast-paced environment, the candidate needs to be able to work independently and effectively multitask in order to meet deadlines and balance competing priorities.
Through your prior experiences, you should be able to demonstrate that you have strong interpersonal and communication skills such as excellent verbal and written capabilities.
