Description of Duties for a Health Care Provider
To execute nursing duties in accordance with the standards, procedures, and protocols established by the South African Nursing Council and the Scope of Practice, the Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary will promote and deliver high-quality patient care and wellness in accordance with industry standards. In addition, the Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary will ensure that all patients are healthy.
Qualifications and Work Experience Requirements:
Grade 12.
A qualification as an enrolled nursing assistant auxiliary.
Registration with the South African Nursing Council at the present time (SANC).
BLS qualification desirable.
Previous experience working in the area of physical rehabilitation or wellness is helpful.
appropriate nursing experience of between one and two years.
It would be beneficial to have experience working in a private hospital setting.
Having experience with computers is useful.
Skills/Abilities
Carry out all of your responsibilities in line with the standards established by the South African Nursing Council (SANC), the Department of Health (DOH), and the National Core.
Maintain adherence to the patient advocacy principles and standards in accordance with the SANC Acts and Omissions, the Company Code of Conduct, the Patient Rights and Obligation Charter, the National Millennium Growth objectives, and the responsibility of continuing professional development (CPD).
Take care of the patient in accordance with the Registered Nurse’s or Enrolled Nurse’s instructions in order to cater to the specific requirements of the patient.
Help the Registered Nurse and the administrative personnel maintain proper stock levels, including the correct documentation and billing of goods that has been utilized.
During the operation, provide assistance to the Registered Nurse by passing any necessary medical equipment or stock.
Perform a fundamental evaluation of the patient’s vital signs, as well as their intake and output, and precisely monitor and record data relevant to the patient’s health.
Any concerns should be brought to the attention of the Registered Nurse or the Unit Manager.
