Job Description
Our beautiful Safari Hotel & Convention Centre is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the food and beverage department, ensuring high standards of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all food and beverage operations, including dining areas, banquets, and room service
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to create new menu items and specials
- Conduct staff performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement
- Assist with scheduling and staffing decisions to meet operational needs
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- A tertiary qualification in hospitality management will be an added advantage
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
