Description of the Job
This dynamic role player in the integrated broiler industry is Grain Field Chickens, which is a subsidiary of VKB Agriculture (PTY)Ltd.
Grain Field Chickens has an abattoir located in Reitz, which is located in the North Eastern Free State.

Description of the Job
To engage in the operation of a power-driven mobile hoist or forklift with a lifting capacity that exceeds 6,000 kilograms, which is used in the loading, unloading, moving, or stacking of goods and/or pallets, but does not include an internal motor vehicle in accordance with predefined work objectives (as per previously agreed upon standard operating procedures).
Criteria for employment
Grade 12 or National Qualifications Framework Level 4 (NQF).
Obtaining a forklift licence is necessary.
It is essential to have a clean criminal record.
One year or more of experience operating a forklift in a setting that is comparable is required.
You will be working in a fast-paced plant manufacturing or warehouse environment for this position.

You must be able to work overtime, including shifts and weekends, and you must be willing to do so when it is required.
Obligations :
Regular forklift inspections should be carried out, and safe forklift operating procedures should be adhered to.
The forklift will undergo a pre-inspection, and the checklist for the forklift will be completed before the shift begins.
Ensure that vehicles are unloaded in a timely manner while providing assistance to the truck driver or drivers.
In order to assist other members of the team with picking, staging, loading, unloading, rotating, and storing product, you will need to operate a forklift.
Assist in the process of repacking loads of orders and sales orders.
According to the policy of the company, you must immediately report any damage or shrinkage.
Must be able to be flexible with the schedule, including taking breaks when they are required.
To carry out any additional responsibilities that may be requested by management.
