Description of the Job

The objective of this role is to support the MMU Controller in effectively managing and operating a mobile manufacturing unit (MMU – BLEND truck).
This entails ensuring that customer requirements are met and that all activities are conducted in accordance with the standards and procedures established by AECI, with a focus on achieving On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery.

To provide assistance to the MMU Controller in the process of performing routine inspections on fixed plant and MMUs in accordance with SABS and World Class standards, with the goals of locating non-conformances, putting into place preventative measures, and achieving continuous improvement.

Assist with any and all tasks required in connection with the blasting process (for example, measuring holes, closing or stemming charged holes, guarding, cleaning, etc.).
Maintenance and Cleaning on Site.
Tidiness of the wash bay and the parking lot for trucks
Trucks’ general state of tidiness

The process of loading and unloading goods into and from trucks
Assist with the loading of responsibilities onto the bench.
Help plug charged holes or stem the flow of charged fluids.
The loading and unloading of explosives and their accessories in their respective packaging
While at the depot, to comply with all applicable legal requirements

In order to guarantee that the MMUs are always kept clean to the standards required by the World Class
Capability to work without supervision.
Every function relating to blasting that is necessary

Experience and other necessary qualifications

Matric
A driver’s license with a code B.
Workplace procedures that are risk-free
A familiarity with the product would be advantageous.
The ability to handle hazardous products would be beneficial.
Required to have the ability to obtain a health clearance red ticket
