Purpose of the Job Description
To perform planned, preventive, and emergency maintenance on all of the equipment specified in a timely manner and to a high standard.
MAIN OUTPUTS
Carry out tasks in accordance with the job cards (work orders) that have been issued and retrieved from Archibus, in accordance with the requirements of the Client and the Company.
Carry out investigations, evaluations, and repairs on the equipment that has been identified as malfunctioning.
Perform routine maintenance and service on all electrical equipment and appliances in accordance with SLA requirements.
Carry out responsibilities associated with the relocation of the office, such as, but not limited to, the installation of furniture; shop fitting; the repair of doors, locks, handles, and windows; the replacement of ceiling and carpet tiles; and general paint work.
Perform routine maintenance and service checks on all plumbing-related equipment in accordance with the SLA.
Carry out inspections and repairs of the highest level on all of the air conditioning-related equipment.
Conduct inspections of all fire and access equipment, including fire extinguishers, hose reels, fire hydrants, fire detectors, and access control equipment, and then report your findings.
Help the Artisan with any significant maintenance or repairs that need to be done.
Maintain regular communication with the Facilities Manager, Service Manager, Building Manager, and Resource Co-ordinator regarding the current status of the restoration of operations.
Keep the calls in the Archibus CAFM system up to date and make sure they are closed within the SLA.
Supervise and manage the day-to-day activities of the staff in charge of cleaning, recycling, and hygiene.
Complete each monthly item on the PPM checklist, and keep the CAFM system current.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
The Applicant needs to demonstrate that they can fulfill all of these requirements:
Matriculation (Senior Certificate)
N3 Technical (Electrical/Mechanical) Studies
Valid SA Drivers License
3 years of relevant experience in the maintenance and repair work of handymen
Instructional fundamentals on the use of hand tools, electrical, and mechanical apparatus
Skilled with computers, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Archibus
A familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
