HEALTH PROMOTER REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12.
Gaining experience in volunteer work within the community will be to your advantage.
The potential candidate should have strong communication skills and be comfortable speaking in front of groups.
Should be able to communicate verbally the native tongues and have an understanding of the cultural norms prevalent within the communities;
For example:
Driver’s license for Laudium, Soshanguve, and Olievenhoutbosch.

HEALTH PROMOTER RESPONSIBILITIES
Include compiling a community profile of the population that the facility serves as its catchment area.
Implement facility-based implementation of health promotion strategies and campaigns at the provincial, district, and sub-district levels in ways that are appropriate to the conditions of the local area and include awareness campaigns.
At various health facilities, promoters will be putting in place interventions for health promotion where they have their headquarters, on full working days on the first and second Mondays and Tuesdays of the week.
The one and only exception to this rule will be in the case of a campaign or a project.
Those who promote health will report the facility manager and the Chief Community Liaison your weekly plans.

Take part in activities at the national, provincial, and local levels.
Projects and campaigns that are carried out away from the facility, on occasion and as needed by the Department.
