There are learning programs known as learnerships that require learning to take place on the job and are supported by learning that is structured or institutionalized.
You are able to participate in a learnership program in the following areas:
Mechanical Fitter
Instrument Mechanic
Electrician
Chemical Plant Operator
Requirements:
National Senior Certificate or equivalent with a pass in the following:
– Maths
– English
– Technical or Physical Science
Central Components:
Successfully complete the assessment process while participating in the Learnership program;
Ensure that you take part in all of the required activities and exercises for workplace readiness.
