Description
AFGRI Farmer Development (AFD) invites suitable candidates to apply for the 2025 Learnership Programme.
The successful candidates will be assigned to our Vasfontein Farm in Pretoria North.
This 12-month Learnership Program is designed to facilitate the training of successful learners in the field of Farming with Crops and Animals.
AFGRI Farmer Development strongly encourages individuals from historically marginalized communities to apply, despite the fact that the program is not exclusively restricted to those from these communities.
At our training facility, successful candidates will receive both on-the-job and off-the-job training. The learners will be housed at our Vastfontein Training Farm in Pretoria North for the duration of the learnership, following the execution of a contract with AFD.
On the farm, learners will have the chance to acquire comprehensive work experience by completing a variety of responsibilities and duties that are in accordance with the program.
They will collaborate with a cross-functional team to finalize the program and provide assistance to the teams in their project work.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be a citizen of South Africa.
- A Grade 12 or equivalent qualification is required.
- Women and individuals with disabilities will be prioritized.
- Must be unemployed.
Duration
The successful candidates will be assigned to our Vasfontein Farm for the duration of the program and will be required to sign a 12-month fixed-term contract with AFGRI Farmer Development.
