Description

Under the direction of the artisan/supervisor, the individual in this role will assist with activities related to housekeeping and engineering maintenance.
Lifts, holds, positions, and supports parts and materials being worked on, either manually or with appropriate tools as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Helps with the disassembly and assembly of various components in accordance with the instructions given.
Performs loading and unloading of materials and parts onto and from transport vehicles, depending on the needs of the business.
Handles the lifting, transporting, and moving of materials to and from storage areas using equipment that does not propel itself.
Assist with installations and breakdowns in service-required areas, per the instructions of either the skilled worker or the engineering supervisor.

Performs general housekeeping duties

Carry out the duties of an observer when directed to do so by the Artisan Supervisor or the Engineering Supervisor, such as performing fire watch checks for burning conveyors or checking pipelines for leaks.

Qualification Requirements:

Grade 12

Experience and Skills Requirements:

The knowledge and experience gained from working in the mining industry for at least one year is preferred.
Capabilities in the English Language
Acquiring Expertise in the Policies and Procedures Regarding Workplace Safety
Time Management
