Objective of Employment
To operate mining gear and equipment within specified parameters to minimize waste and optimize operational costs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Implement and uphold safety protocols in a workplace setting
- Executes tasks in accordance with the established plan. Engages in daily morning meetings to review job assignments.
- Delivers sufficient feedback to supervisor regarding work progress.
- Implements and complies with safety standards and regulations to promote safety.
- Ensures proper housekeeping and complies with trash disposal protocols.
- Detects malfunctions by relevant techniques to guarantee equipment readiness.
- Participates in training courses and seminars according to the training matrix to enhance competence and skills.
- Recognizes individual training and development requirements and integrates them into the Personal Development Plan with the consent of the group leader.
- Facilitate the objectives and vision of the enterprise by adhering to deadlines.
- Conducts facility inspections and executes repairs as necessary to guarantee equipment reliability.
- Delivers sufficient feedback to clients regarding work advancement.
- Performs My IMS evaluations to uphold and enhance plant sustainability
- Guarantees the accurate documentation of historical feedback to enhance renewals and upgrades, while ensuring the replacement of essential spare parts.
- Participates in and engages during toolbox sessions to enhance plant safety.
- Participates and engages in PDAs and RCAs to enhance plant safety and stability.
- Identify ongoing enhancement opportunities within one’s job area
Structured Learning
- Grade 12/N3 with Mathematics and Science/Business English
- A Welder Certificate will be beneficial.
Professional Experience
- Experience: 1-2 years in a related capacity (Welder Operator)
