Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Personal Assistant to support a dynamic Interior Designer based in Sandton. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel and have a passion for interior design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Manage the designer’s schedule, appointments, and travel arrangements. Handle phone calls, emails, and correspondence.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in the planning and execution of interior design projects. Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the first point of contact for clients. Maintain professional and courteous communication, addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Office Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the office, including ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a tidy workspace.
  • Research and Sourcing: Conduct research on design trends, materials, and suppliers. Source and procure items needed for projects.
  • Event Planning: Assist in organizing and coordinating events, such as client meetings, presentations, and industry networking events.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, invoices, and design plans.
  • Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in business administration or a related field are a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Personal Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within the interior design or creative industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
