The position of Radio Operator at I&J in the Waterfront has become available, which is an exciting opportunity.
In order to guarantee that the radio system in the Operations division continues to function normally, it is necessary to record information in order to guarantee that the most recent data is accessible.
In accordance with the I&J Production Policies, make certain that all of the equipment and materials are maintained in accordance with the defined safety standards.
SPECIFICATIONS OF THE JOB:
Acquiring data as and when it is necessary in order to finish it in a timely manner
The upkeep of log books and files for the purpose of inspection and audits when they are requested
Reports and information should be distributed to the appropriate parties.
During the shift, make sure that the telephones and radios are staffed.
Schedules should be maintained and modified.
Help out with administrative responsibilities
Maintain a clean and orderly environment in the workplace.
By the end of each week on Friday, all paperwork must be submitted on time.
Keeping radios charged is a must.
The handover from the day shift to the night shift is carried out without any problems.
Having the ability to recognize issues when they arise is imperative.
Document any unpredictability that may exist in the workplace.
Immediately bring any problems that may arise to the attention of management.
It is important to maintain communication with all platforms regarding requests and updates.
Help people in other departments.
Maintain compliance with all of the company’s policies, rules, and procedures.
Always make sure that you communicate with your manager in a timely manner.
Never deviate from the normal course of work or make a decision that is outside of your purview.
MOST IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:
An experience of two years working in the marine environment
REQUIREMENTS: QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12
Driver’s code 8 & Hyster License
TECHNOLOGICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Acquire Your Knowledge of Radio Operating Equipment
The ability to use a computer and knowledge of vessel administration
