Recruiting Summary

Rand Water is one of the world’s largest water utilities.
It provides superior-quality potable water to 12 million people in the economic center of South Africa.

Johannesburg is one of the few cities that was not constructed on or near a sustainable river or dam, necessitating the development of innovative solutions to meet the challenge over the years.
Rand Water is focused on job creation and supporting economic and industrial sectors by substantially increasing the production of pertinent, scarce, and essential skills, in accordance with the National Skills Development Strategy III pillars.

Rand Water invites previously disadvantaged and suitably qualified applicants interested in joining the Water Sector to register for the Horticulture Learnership Programme: NQF Level 2

Minimum Requirements
Before applying, applicants must meet the following minimum entry requirements:

Candidates must be unemployed.
Applicants cannot be enrolled in any institution for a degree or registered in any Learnership Programme.
Applicants must not possess a post-high school diploma or equivalent.(Note: Failure to disclose post-matriculation qualifications will result in disqualification)
Applicants with a post-high school diploma must not apply and will not be considered.
Applicants are required to possess a Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy and Life Science (minimum Level 4 in ALL subjects).
Applicants must be citizens of South Africa and possess a valid SA ID.
Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35 (in accordance with the NSDSIII).

A certified copy of the identification document
Official copy of the Matric (Grade 12) certificate. Document Evidence of domicile

Principal Duties

As a student, you are expected to complete your qualification in record time and in accordance with the terms of your contract within the allotted timeframe.
