Description
- Sappi provides a 12-month program that provides local matriculants with Grade 12 Maths and Science the chance to acquire the necessary skills to work in our operations.
- The training program includes practical assignments, classroom sessions, and online training.
- Successful trainees are eligible to apply for entry-level positions in a variety of departments within our operations, such as the plant, stores, woodyard, or utilities sections.
Procedure A stipend is received by trainees for the duration of the program.
Minimum Requirements:
Local unemployed adolescents from the communities surrounding Stanger Mill.
- Matric Mathematics pass (not Maths Literacy).
- Matric Physical Science pass.
- A N3 in Pulp and Paper or an equivalent NCV qualification will be preferred.
A skills exam will be administered to candidates who satisfy the minimum qualifications.
The skills exam results will be the basis for the final shortlisting for the training program.
