Description of the Job
To carry out general hygiene services, including ensuring that the South African Bank Note Company (SABN) facilities have clean workstations, walkways, restrooms, and storage areas.
Main Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- You are responsible for performing cleaning tasks for specific areas, such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, and other similar activity.
- Ensure that the side walls and pathways are clean.
In accordance with the cleaning schedule that has been established, clean the kitchen. - Cleaning the trays, food trolleys, cutlery, and dishes that are being used.
- The completion of the checklist and the daily inspection of the regions that have been designated.
- Weekly cleaning of areas that are difficult to access.
- Providing assistance to stores with ad hoc tasks, such as cleaning refrigerators and store areas.
- Being familiar with the chemicals that are used in the kitchen.
With a high probability, the Preferred Candidate will have:
- A minimum of one to two years of experience working in a cleaning position
Skills and Acquired Knowledge:
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment at a fundamental level
- Cleaning of all areas
- Care for health, safety, and the environment
- Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and processes
