The Public Service Act of 1994 is the Appointment Act (Act 103 of 1994)
SALARY:
R128 166 per annum (Level 03)
The Office of the Minister of Police can be found in Pretoria.
DRIVER / MESSENGER REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants have to demonstrate that they are capable of performing the duties that are unique to the post;
Be in possession of a qualification equivalent to grade 12 or a National Certificate (Vocational) that has been recorded on the National Learners’ Records Database (NLRD) on the National Qualifications Framework Level 4;
Must be proficient in reading, writing, and arithmetic, as well as in oral and written communication;
Possess a working knowledge of at least two official languages, one of which must be the English language;
Not deemed unfit to own a firearm by the appropriate authorities.
Be in possession of a driver’s license that is valid for at least a light motor vehicle;
Citizen of the Republic of South Africa;
Must not have a history of criminal activity or any pending departmental or criminal cases;
A screening process, which will include both a security check and a verification of the applicant’s fingerprints, will be applied to all applicants;
• Have the ability to work well under pressure and for extended periods of time;
• Have completed any applicable coursework in the relevant field of the post.
Render messenger services to the Ministry of Police;
General administration duties allocated to the post, including making photocopies and shredding of documents;
Complete vehicle logbook and submit monthly returns;
Deliver/collect mail, documents, and parcels, and ensure acknowledgement of receipt.

That we will only accept the official application form (Levels 1-12), which can be found both on the SAPS website (www.saps.gov.za) and at SAPS Police Stations.
The Z83 that had been used up until this point will not be accepted anymore.
It is imperative that each and every instruction on the application form be carefully followed.
If you do not comply, the application might be denied because of it.
On the application form, you need to make sure that you correctly specify the post particulars as well as the reference number of the post.
The only thing that is required to be submitted along with the application form is a comprehensive curriculum vitae.
It is not necessary for applicants to submit copies of their qualifications and any other documents that may be pertinent.
During the interview process, only those candidates who have been shortlisted will be asked to submit certified copies of all of their educational qualifications, drivers license, and identity document, as well as proof of relevant experience in the field related to the post.
The qualifications and driver’s licenses that are provided will be checked for verification with the appropriate institutions.
The South African Police Service will check the applicants’ residential addresses to ensure they are who they say they are.
The provisions of the Public Service Act of 1994 will be adhered to in the process of making appointments.
The application must be posted or submitted in a timely manner.
Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted or considered. If a candidate is selected from the pool of applicants for further consideration, it is expected that they will participate in a personal interview.
All of the candidates who made it this far will have their references checked and their fingerprints screened.
Only those applicants who were successful will continue to receive correspondence. It is appropriate to assume that an applicant’s application was not successful if the applicant has not been contacted within three months of the advertisement’s closing date and the position has not been filled.
After a position has been advertised, the South African Police Service is not required to fill the vacancy.
Application forms for the South African Police Service (SAPS) are available at no cost from any SAPS Recruitment Office located within the South African Police Service.
