Objective Of The Role
This position is responsible for overseeing the inflow and outflow of stock inside the Distribution Facility and ensuring precise stock levels in the system.
Primary Outputs
- Physically receiving and issuing stock, as well as in the system. Aim for 100% stock accuracy and accept responsibility for stock flow within the stores.
- Initiate orders to restock inventory as required. Monitor shipment status and resolve delays, expediting shipments where necessary.
- Verify that the received stock is undamaged and that the delivery notes correspond with the information in the system.
- Monitor pending purchase orders and delivery
- Address any return or delivery complications
- Guarantee that vendors receive payment for all inventory delivered to the business.
- Adhere to appropriate housekeeping and secure stacking protocols. Verify that bin locations are appropriately designated and that inventory sheets are revised subsequent to stock retrieval.
- Identify replacement goods for outmoded products and ensure adherence to materials management policies and procedures.
- Perform routine inventory audits and stock counts, along with the documentation of issues and receipt slips.
- Revise the system for inventory movement, including issuance, reception, and quarantine stock.
- Perform additional related assignments or duties as allocated periodically.
Qualifications
- The Applicant is required to fulfill the following criteria:
- Matriculation (Senior Certificate)
- Certificate in Administration or Customer Service Code B A driver’s license will be an additional asset.
- Two years of experience in a retail environment with training in customer service and administration.
- SAP R/3, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
