Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE

To manage the technical corrective and maintenance services and compliance as to the SLA requirements. Provide a support base on a technical level to supporting staff. Support the team and optimize feedback and reporting to the client. It will be expected from the position to work shifts as and when so required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. The Handyman assumes responsibility for all maintenance work and / or corrective work and must ensure they are executed within the SLA timeline and according to best quality and effectiveness.

2. It is the responsibility of the Handyman to perform all technical services assigned to him according to his skills set and qualifications.

3. The Handyman assumes responsibility for supporting the maintenance team as well as his direct line of reporting. This support takes the form of:
a) Follow up on all open work orders on a daily basis with the supporting staff
b) Report any unsafe condition to his reporting line
c) Execute all task according to OHASA regulations
d) Ensure that all task are completed on time or supply feedback to the supervisor on the reason for the delay and the new target completion date
e) Supply all hard copies of completed task or digital reports as to the requirements.

4. The Handyman assumes responsibility for ensuring target and reporting deadlines are met.

5. The Handyman will ensure that his tools and equipment issued to him will be kept in safe keeping at all time and not be abused or misused.

6. The Handyman will at all times follow the prescribed process and policies in executing all task and instructions.

7. The Handyman will ensure that all documentation weather hard copies or on a digital platform will be provided after completion of any task as proof of the quality and the completion of all task.

8. The Handyman assumes responsibility for working with the LÓreal support team to ensure that cost savings, improve turnaround time and to ensure that Broll supplies the client with regular feedback on completed and outstanding work.

9. The Handyman will be required to attend meetings held with the team in order to discuss issues and improve service delivery.

10. The Handyman will comply with all company policies and procedures during the execution of his or her duties.

11. The Handyman will comply with all reasonable requests as and when required from the direct reporting line.

12. The Handyman will be responsible to perform all technical duties and instruction from the direct reporting structure as long as those instructions are not outside of his or her qualifications or that might transgress any OHSA situations.

13. The Handyman will be required to always wear the Broll PPE issued to him to ensure that he or she can be clearly identified as a Broll employee. The correct PPE will be worn at all times to ensure compliance.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
The SLA with our client will be used as a measurement of performance as well as feedback from clients and all supporting staff.

The KPI are based on:
1. Effective feedback to the supporting team
2. SLA compliance – open WI and WI not completed on time.
3. Audits and action from audits
4. Client feedback and complaints
5. Administration management
6. Effective execution of instructions
7. Team support and self-management of responsibilities
8. Initiative

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/RECORDS:
Grade 12,
Driver license
No criminal record

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Must have computer skills, know IT management systems, reporting, and meeting procedures.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Prior experience in the FM maintenance environment of atleast two to three years
