This notice is to issue an erratum regarding the advertisement published on 11 December 2024, Reference Number: MN3829/24, for the Tractor Driver positions in the Parks Section (x 2), which will end on 16 January 2025.
Applicants should be advised that the erratum aims to amend the salary scale in accordance with the 2024/2025 salary and wage curve collective agreement.

COMPENSATION:
R 181,680.00 per annum – R 197,088.00 per annum (Level 11 of a Grade 04 Local Authority)
Total compensation package, encompassing all benefits: R 317,070.32 per annum.
SPECIFICATIONS
- Grade 10.
- Grade 12 is an added advantage.
- Tractor operation certification
- Valid category B driver’s license.
- Physically fit and knowledgeable in running a tractor and slasher.
- Experience in operating a tractor and slasher for grass cutting.
- A diligent and self-disciplined individual.
- Superb driving proficiency.
- One year of pertinent experience within a local government authority in the Parks department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operating a tractor to do tasks such as grass cutting and maintaining parks, open areas, and pavements.
- Accountable for the upkeep and safety inspections of the tractor and slasher.
- Perform responsibilities in accordance with the work schedule/program.
- Deploying traffic signs to alert motorists and the public on ongoing construction activities.
- To work a full day on alternate short Fridays (payday).
- Any incidental gardening or park-related tasks as requested by Management.
COMPENSATION:
R 181,680.00 per annum – R 197,088.00 per annum (Level 11 of a Grade 04 Local Authority)
