About Us

We are looking for a Cashier to join our team. 
The Cashier is the customer’s first point of contact when they enter a store.
Cashiers accept cash, checks, or credit/debit card payments, record them using cash registers or electronic equipment, and give change to customers..

CASHIER DUTIES

Recognize the customer with a smile and remember that the consumer always comes first. 
Always make our customers feel important and special to us.
Respond to any consumer inquiries and concerns.
When starting a shift, a cashier must ensure that the counter around the tills is clean, that the tills are turned on, that the tills are functioning, that the float is tallied, that there is enough change in the tills, and that the printer has enough paper and ribbon.
To guarantee that product in the resale section is properly displayed and that refrigerators and shelves are refilled on a regular basis.
It is necessary to keep the front of the house neat.

Counting money in cash drawers at the start of shifts to check that sums are right and that there is enough change, cleaning the counter around the tills, and ensuring that there is enough paper and ribbon in the printer.
To guarantee that the daily cash up and related documentation is performed properly and thoroughly in accordance with the standard.
Give the customer a receipt and the proper change.
Any inconsistencies must be accounted for, and any shortfalls must be deducted in accordance with the agreement.

Must contribute to the seamless operation of the front of house.
Must help the front and back of house in keeping orders going smoothly.
When the store is quiet, assist wherever feasible, including cleaning.
Cleans the counter and provides a sales analysis on a daily basis.
At the end of the shift, ensure that the Admin Assistant / Admin manager has been called to conduct an end-of-shift cash-up for each till.

Cashier Competencies

Cashier Requirements

Must have completed a National Senior Certificate
